a house boy

is a beautiful thing. i'm pretty lucky to have found one of my very own. ha. i'm kidding. really, i actually just have a roommate that is bartering for his rent. he works on my endless list of house projects, he teaches me what he can, and he helps me out with the heavy lifting. he also cooks, plays scrabble with me, and has become a friend. we seem to have dropped into one another's lives at just the right time and so far our arrangement is pretty great.

  • does he have a twin brother? or perhaps he would like to split his time between AK and NC?! too awesome...i can appreciate how wonderful this is for you...the company alone is priceless nevermind that he plays scrabble and can put an end to the to-do list! so so happy that you have found a great roomie!

  • we were finishing the deck awning. i learned a valuable lesson . . . measuring tapes and squares are useful tools. the great job that my mom, brother, and i did was actually pretty horrendous. there was a little bit of 're-do' that needed to be done. nile and i finished it up and got the roof on. it looks great and is an awsome place to be when its raining. you can be outside nice and dry and can see the rain coming down right above you, but just hear the pitter patter of the drops. its awsome.
